| The Ashton Festival runs from the 12th to the 23rd of September this year and I have been invited to give a talk at Ashton Library about my four novels One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn which all have a strong Rugby League background.
This will be on Tuesday afternoon 20th September starting at 2 p.m.
I will be talking about what inspired me to start writing, how I wrote the first page, tales from the old Wigan Emp dancehall, matches at Central Park and Frog Lane and interest from the film world, while also encouraging others to consider writing a novel based on their own life and times.
Due to the size of the venue, the number of tickets are limited and have to be collected before the day. There is no charge though and refreshments will be provided.
