Hello all.
First of all, let me introduce myself. My name's Greg Farrimond, I'm the nephew of former Wigan coach Mike Gregory.
This year, along with one of my close pals Sam Robinson, I'll be running the Great North Run to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
I'm sure none of you need reminding of Michael's plight and what my family have been through.
Over the last few years, we have slowly been rebuilding our lives but there will always be that void.
We're a close family which has helped and it has enabled us to try to give something back to the wonderful people who helped Michael and who are helping those suffering from this truly awful disease today.
In 2008, I was among a group of some truly amazing Wigan Warriors fans who climbed Ben Nevis in his memory and raised a big sum of money in the process.
Your support during Mike's illness was never - and never will be - forgotton by the family. The Rugby League community really is something special.
So I'm back again, asking you to dig deep for this special cause.
It is a bit of a task for me personally. Although I haven't been completely out of shape, just coming out from uni where you can only imagine what food I lived on left me somewhat unfit and struggling to run just a few miles. I've managed to lose just under two stone since I started training a few months ago though so I'm on my way!
I'm currently a news reporter at the Wigan Evening Post/ Wigan Observer and something will be in the paper this week about the run.
Any amount you can spare would be hugely appreciated.
If you would like to donate, you can either visit my fundraising page

I'm also hoping to put sponsor forms up at a few local amateur clubs in the coming weeks.
Thanks again,
Greg.
