If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg

You should take up comedy for a living! Yes the ref missed some calls (for both sides) but to suggest that the forward pass to Lima directly won the cup for Wigan is a gross simplification. Lima still had to attack the Leeds line and several Leeds players could have tackled him but didn't. Leeds have been the masters of the flat/forward pass in recent years and so this post is rather ironic.
Quite frankly Leeds/other clubs fans who want to find people to blame for Leeds' loss need look no further than a Mr D.McGuire and his comical defending, Mr K.Leuluai and his pathetic and dangerous knee-drop whilst his time had a fantastic attacking position, Mr B.Jones-Bishop and his brain-fart kick after his fantastic side-step and run and Mr R.Bailey for his fantastic impression of a branch as Lima brushed him aside as reasons why they didn't win. Or they could always look at the good things Wigan did, daft idea I know...
The Mossop pass to Lima may have been forward but what seems to be forgotten is that the TJ or Ref are on the field at ground level. There were players all over the place no doubt obstructing their view.
JD's comments are from seeing the incident via a tv camera some 50 feet above ground level. Of course offcials miss things.
The pass was forward but that was not why Lima scored. He touched down because two Leeds players failed to make a tackle on him. They simply fell off. Whether the pass was forward or back the try would have been scored due to Leeds poor defence.

No whats forgotten is the man who made that pass was playing with a dislocated shoulder, I think the lad deserves more credit than being charged with " a forward pass that won the game"
