Great way to keep one of the best talents in the game - 'Fans' of other teams boo Sam because he's so good. Idiots like you then go over the top on anything he does to justify it.

Can only say that if Sam actually heard what the opposition* fans were acually chanting (about his mother in particular) then his reaction should come as no surprise. From where I was sat it was a disgrace.

You can argue, like the grand old sage of RL Gary Schofield does today in that serious Sunday, The Star, that someone needs to have a word and teach him to 'respect' - but that doesnt help when you have an alcohol fuelled yob mob on his case week in week out.

Is he seriously saying Sam should respect these morons....as what? Fans of the game? Fair play? Considered opinion? Record breaking beer drinkers before noon on a day out?

It needs addressing all round, not just from Sam Tomkins.

It was disappointing to see Sam swear on national TV whilst he's representing Wigan but the way people are talking the incident to be some thing it isn't he should be rightly fined and given a good talking to. I'm having serious doubts as to Sam being awarded MOS he's already an unpopular player amongst other teams.

I said this the other day, there is now for me no doubt that he has been the best player this season BUT this is voted for by the players and the players consensus (even talking to some) is that they can't stand him, they think he's disrespectful and mocks other players and they don't see the need for it.
If he just played rugby he'd walk it but it may be worth if you're a betting man having a cheeky punt on Roby.

Your 1st point i also agree with, fine him and b*ll*k him INTERNALLY and POSSIBLY make him release an apologetic statement.
A talk of a ban is just a massive over reaction + i want him playing next week, i'm of the old school thought of i always want the opposition at full strength.
