Quote: stpatricks "Maguire has done the hard work changing the culture at Wigan. The fitness and professionalism of the players is a credit to the club and fans; add to that the enthusiasm of the younger players and a real team ethic with everyone giving their all for the cause.
The club have the blue print they just need Wane and a.n other to carry on the good work. I have no problem with that being Harris or Sculthorpe'"
Not saying that Wane et al aren't capable, but a top head coach also has to be able to come up with new systems and adapt them to produce a plan B when plan A isn't working. No good just saying "we just need to carry on what we're doing."
Wane deserves his shot, unless we could get a big name from Aus, which is unlikely. Promoting Wane should mean the professionalism, attitude and fitness levels remain high, it's just whether the new coaching team can be as technically astute as Madge that's the worry.
