Looking at the Sam Tomkins thread on the VT and also the Hull board, its frightening how little some people know about the sport. Saying the first try should be chalked off for a double movement is pathetic and is either a really bad case of sour grapes or a complete lack of understanding of the rules.

He didnt pull back before contact he definitely hit him but the thing to take on is intent I dont think you can really give it as an 8 point try unless he was sliding in deliberately (like Tommy did that time) but he wasnt he was trying to get across to get under the ball so, though technically he broke the rules, I dont think the 8 point try should be given there.

Further to the "double movement" it wasnt. If hed rolled himself over and put it down then yes but he didnt the Hull players picked him back up and rolled him over the line and he stretched out. The tackle was technically compelete but the momentum took him over. It was a weird one but is not a double movement.
