| Quote LovesToSpooge="LovesToSpooge"Well for me neither Fielden nor Cross would be in the team. They'll lack proper match fitness, and one missed tackle from either of those two due to fatigue could mean the difference between winning and losing.
Deadcerts are; Lima, Mossop, Coley, Hansen, Hoffman and Lockers.
Outside of that we've got Hock who I think will also get the nod. But the big one is Prescott. Unless he's 100% fit then doesn't play for mine. Then we'll have to pick either Stu or Ben to fill in for Paul's absence.
I'd like to see in no particular order;
Coley, Leuluai, Mossop
Hansen, Hoffman
Lockers
Lima
Prescott
McIlorum
Hock'"
Completely agree. Its just not worth the risk no matter how good our pack would look on paper with Cross and Fielden playing, we should stick with what we have . Would like Fielden on the bench though!

| Remember we are worrying about Fielden playing against Wakey but if he plays he has a 1st team match under his belt before he has to play Wire in the cup.

| Madge clearly doesn't think much of Wakefield! Cross / Fielden straight back in and no Hoff. Says it all

I know. Fancy naming a squad containing THIRTEEN players who won the league last season.

Valid, but given that everyone was so sure Cross was playing 20s, I think the fact that it's Wakefield has tempted him to playing him straight off

I agree.
I think Maguire will want as much aggression as possible in this game and i'd expect Hock and one of Cross and Fielden to play.
I think they'll have the pack lads fired up beyond belief for that one and we'll need it if we're to match what Westwood, Morley and Carvell will throw at us.

| It's definitely worth getting whoevers the fittest out of Fielden and Cross some first team game time on Friday so that we can definitely go in to QF with 4 props who are as match-fit as possible, especially as we're likely to still be missing Preccy. I'd feel much more confident playing Wire next weekend with Coley, Mossop, Lima and one of Fielden/Cross with half an hour under their belts this weekend rather that trying to match Wire upfront with Hock/Hansen/Tuson being used as a prop.

I agree, particularly as it looks as though Prescott will be missing. I would expect that Cross will take his place in that I think he will be fitter than Fielden at this point in time.

I think they'll play Fielden in the first team this week and Cross in the reserves so they can both get as many minutes as possible in their legs and then decide from there. I'd edge towards playing Fielden if at all possible because I know he'll be the sort of character chomping at the bit to get stuck into this cup tie but i'm sure Cross has a point to prove aswell.
As for Hock I really liked the look of him against Quins. He looked far fitter then against Huddersfield and really ran with purpose. It's a shame he didn't have another 3 or 4 games under his belt going into the Wire game but he must play imo.

| Depends on how Cross has been looking after himself really. If he's still match fit then play him and rest one of the lads playing week in week out. Lima and Mossop could probably do with a rest.
