Quote: The Ginger Pearl "Theres a massive difference between playing in the halves and playing in the back row. Finch had to come in and organise things for the rest of the team and it obviously didnt work, Hock has to come in and do his own job without really worrying about what everyone else is doing.
Also Finch was coming back from a serious career threatening injury into a league he has never played before. Hock has spent two years filled with regret and determination to get back out there again and make up for his mistake, I dont think Hock and Finch's situation should be compared at all.'"
Its very easy to compare them really, especially in terms of fitness. Both are great players in their own right albeit in different positions but both are players coming back into the team for an important game after an extended lay off. Its an easy comparison really. Of course there will be more pressure on Finch to perform given his important role but probably didn't have anywhere near the pressure from fans, media etc that Hock will have for obvious reasons.
The point is Finch took quite a lot of time to bed in a pivotal role and clearly wasn't match fit to begin with whereas Hock will likely be the same in a less pressured position (all positions are important I know) and will more than likely just be told to pile it in, don't do anything silly and try and hurt them in every tackle, something which I'm sure he will take great pleasure in for about 20 mins or so and see how he goes.
