They are getting better.

Graphics and gameplay need to be improved but we would need a big company like EA behind it. Rather unlikely because they make millions from Fifa - RL wouldn't even come close

The Rugby League games were a bit poor but due to the lack of choice they were actually brilliant at the same time, would rather play them than any other games. Would love to a big company get behind it.

If EA did it theyd need about 5 years to profit from the first game so theyd need to basically do it once and rehash with the next years kits and squads every year to make anything from it due to the small fanbase and the cost of making a decent game these days. The only thing is though if they could just modify the Union Engine and use it or let someone else use it then it would make the current games look pants as well as probably not being as expensive and so maybe profitable for EA.

Has anyone played Rugby 08 on the PS2/Xbox? Its superb to play and a real shame its a Union game if they did the above with that games engine then RL games would fly off the shelves and it could be really good for the game. We need someone in the UK to make a game using their engine if they'll allow it and show the Aussies how to do it. I am a little surprised that it hasnt been done before though by EA themselves because Fifa is made in Canada and im told they like RL over there.
