Quote: THELAST3YARDS "I disagree with this, the kid was stupid and will rightly get a rollocking from his coaches.
Wigan were good value for the big lead and had the game sewn up in the middle of the park.
Saints tries were on the edges and they did not have a goalkicker to convert.
I thought the Wigan winger Burgess made the two key plays of the game in scoring to extend the lead to 28-12and then coming off his wing to bring down Savelio as Saints looked like scoring on the last play.
Very enjoyable game.'"
Maybe he shouldn't have kicked the ball, but he didn't appear to run that line deliberately to stop the 20 metre tap.
Burgess certainly has some toe. I thought there was a good call for an 8 point try when Saints centre 4 (Galbraith?) flopped on Tierney after the ball was grounded for his try.
In the U15's I thought Saints fullback was by far their best player, and Wigans Shorrocks got the better of Hewitt.
Enjoyable day though.
