but the game was refereed by a 17 year old from dewsbury
I was reffing similar kinds of games when I was the same age, there isn't exactly an abundance of refs about and these lads need big match reffing experience somehow, plus they can be funny about paying you for schools games, I remember the normal fixtures they definitely don't pay you for but can't remember if it was the same for the finals. Having said all that I do remember touch judging a Y11 schools final with Phil Bentham as the guest ref.

Its about time Eddies started to gain recognition for Sport in my opinion.
Likes of Darrell Goulding and Jamie Foster in Super League to name the main 2, and then we have even had a Wimbledon 'star' in Jane O'Donohue who los to one of the Williams twins
I attended the school myself, and im glad to see it finally getting on the map for sporting results instead of just GCSEs etc and the thanks has to go down to the PE staff there.

Fair enough. However it is still dwarfed by somewhere like John Fisher when it comes to sporting achievements

| Standish High aren't doing too bad either...
with the likes of Paul Deacon, Matty Russell, Logan Tomkins, Sam Powell, Tom Spencer.
Also, 4 scholarship players with the 15s and 2 with the 16s.
