The outrage is quite amusing when considered in the context of the reaction to Newton's unequivocally deliberate assault of Sean Long, which cause much more severe injury and was celebrated by a LOT of people on this board.

If you comment is directed at me, i was not defending people. But many people did think it was ironic, and irony is amusing, not the injury. And for your info, i did post recently on the Leeds board to say how pleased i was to see Peacock and McGuire back and playing. But again, the two incidents are completely different, and i for one did not condone the injuries to Long. |
