| Quote: LovesToSpooge "Hock returning as a prop would be ideal really. He's be the instant replacement for Coley, leaving us with plenty of options upfront. Particularly when we have to think about Davies and Crosby getting game time next year. Plus with our abundance of backrowers, hopefully not adding Hock to that category means we'll be able to keep the Hoff.
2012 Frontrowers:
Fielden
Lima
Prescott
Mossop
Hock
Davies
Crosby
2012 Backrowers:
Lockers
Joel
Hoffman
That imo shows the pack is sorted. We've taken the loss of Coley and even potentially Hoffman without any major fuss or drama. The performances of Mossop and Prescott mean we can do that. Guys like Hock coming back again means we can replace high earners with quality players on lower wages. The talent of guys like Crosby and Davies means we've still got a very strong strength in depth also. It’s a beast of a pack imo.
In terms of the backs Deacon, Gleeson and Carmont are big name, big game players who are going to be big losses. You only have to look at the GF last year to see what a difference Gleeson and Deacon make on the big stage and Carmont has been one of the best SL centres during his time in Wigan providing a bag full of tries for who ever has played outside im whether it be Ainscough, Richards, Pryce or Charnley.
The good news however is that in Charnley we seem to have a ready made replacement for one of the centres. He’s proving his SL worth at the moment and he’s got bags of potential but best of all he’s tied down for FIVE years meaning we don’t have to argue about losing him or renewing his contract.
That leaves one centre spot and the 7 role to fill and seeing that we’ve only promoted from within we should have the kind of dosh to spend which allows you to sign a top class player and that’s what we should do.
Hodges for Wigan 2011.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Madge will end up in a big job in the NRL whether he stays after this year or not!
I think much of his decision will be based on his kids in school and what his family want, as fans we often forget these things.

[quote="Pemps":1dso5atj]I can't confirm Bennett's exact words but I believe they were along the lines of "Strewth Ian, I wouldn't touch him with yours. He's a flammin' Gala". [/quote:1dso5atj]

| He will stay in my opinion.
He seems to take his own personal development very seriously, judging by his long tenure as understudy at the Storm.
I think he has taken 3 years in order to gain as much experience as possible before returning to the bright lights of Aus.
It will be a sad day when he does go, butI will add though that i am relishing Waney taking over.

| The appeal of Souths is evident, glamour club and to finally lead them to a premiership, would make him a legend, but I dont think he will leave Wigan in a hurry, he is well aware of how special the next few years might be.

I agree. I think Maguire will have his pick of jobs when his Wigan contract finishes. I also have every faith that he will honour his contract as he strikes me as that sort of person.

36121_1270460193.jpg Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.
Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_36121.jpg |

| Had we have not won the GF last year I'd say he'd stay as he strikes as the sort of guy who sets a goal and has to achieve it.
However, the cynical, mard-ar5e side of me thinks that Crowe's cheque-book plus a return to sunnier climes might be sufficient a head-turner. I hope I'm wrong.
