| Any of you older fans remember Tommy ? He's fit and well in retirement in Johannesburg where I had a curry with him and his wife (Wigan lass) recently.
To be honest, I'd never heard of him until introduced by a mutual friend (no surprise, me being from Warrington and all !). He told a fascinating story of his rugby career from being the smallest guy ever to play for the Springboks (to this day) to his short stint at Wigan which led to him being blackballed by the SA Rugby Union. He was eventually inducted into their Hall of Fame together with Tom Van Vollenhoven of Saints who shared the same fate (though with a marginally more successful RL career !!!). Top bloke.

I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

Will allways remember Tommy Gentles being stod at the side of a giant snowball someone had rolled on the pitch,it towered over him it was about 5ft diameter.
Also remember the name of the original poster Charlie Winslade,if it is the same person he was a member of one of the finest pack of forwards to step on a Rugby field for Oldahm.
Jackson,Kieth,Duffy,Winslade,Little and Turner, great pack.

| Agree about that pack - awesome - Turner & Little still alive - think 10 was Dufty wasnt it? Jack Keith was a Hookers extrovert and had many a battle with Bill Sayer
