23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

| Mathers was outstanding in Wire's challenge cup victory of 2010. He makes way too many errors to play for one of the top sides imo but everything he did that day was top notch. His try saver over the line in the first half on Ryan Bailey really swung the momentum of the game towards Warrington and he backed it up with another pearler later in the game.

And that's the problem with him really.
Top class players are consistently good, and Mathers hasn't managed to do that since he cam back from Australia.

Things I learned on 11/08/12
Gareth Hock can't pass
Gareth Hock can't run
Gareth Hock can't fight

| Quote: "Dont say sorry your opinion'"
Felt it was a bit too harsh but it did seem well off to me
Quote: "Odd slip up he made a shedload for you men how your fans rate him is beyond me'"
I think it is well documented that he had a torrid time at Wigan. But it think Wire fans such as myself see him for the servant to the club he was. He gave us a couple of years of good service and was more than worth the money we paid for him (I'll give you chase thats it rest are pretty dire
'"
If we ignore Mathers, who I think (and you admit) can perform well in the smaller team that is Castleford, The other three are great squad players (IMO) i think Isa will be a bit of a revelation. So that is two good natural rugby players (Chase and Isa) that are gonna lead that team. I don't think they will get far up the ladder this year. Maybe not even as close as last year but might have some really close matches.
Quote: "I was on about your pack if morley and carvell get injured your front row looks very average'"
That is true. But it Think if you got rid of the best two players in any position in any team there would be a gap.
Quote: "I'm sorry pryce turns up when he feels like it which lets him down cause when he's on he's class, roby is not ready to take over kc's roll i cant see anyone doing it tbh the guy read the game like the back of his hand'"
That is true but many speak of KC being in the game a season or two too long. and off his performance in the GF i would agree. He will be missed no doubt but i don't think they will be completely lost without him.
Quote: "We will see dont think they will play a major roll in this season '"
Hard to tell, but i would agree i think hudds or hull will beat them to the 4th spot.
Quote: "Depends really if you men get injurys it could be 8-10 points if not could be VERY close'"
I thought you had put hudds ahead of wire?
But yeah i think it could go either way and i am sure Saints will stake a claim for the title.
Quote: "Didn't say that i said i think they will make the playoffs both got decent squads and potter could turn bradford around'"
I think Bradford have some strengh in depth and they may well do some magic this year. Can't gauge Salford i am sure signings such as Patten and Feka will really help though
Quote: "I dont think both will make the playoffs but which one will? hard to tell really i thought hull fc would be class last season i know they had bad injurys but thats where depth comes in,hull kr near same team pretty average may fall out the top 8'"
I expect Hull to really turn last season around. It will be dominant performances all year but won't crack the big 3. between them and hudders for me.
