| The RFL are a bunch of amatuers who are so out of touch with the RL fan it's untrue, as for the RFL having games in Las Vegas and advertising to branch into the US market they would struggle with a game in Ash Vegas never mind Las Vegas.

| The game in America is at an interesting stage at the moment. They are on the verge of sending the current league, based around teams along the Eastern seaboard, professional either in 2011 or 2012. There is also a drive for a 'western expansion' with teams up the Western seaboard springing up clearly with some funding behind them. Here's Seattle's new team, Seattle Force, advertising their launch and new kit:
The following teams cities have expressed an interest in forming a team to join the expansion: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Las Vegas, Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada), Victoria (British Columbia, Canada), Denver, Salt Lake City and Phoenix. That would do me as a tour

| I really do hope the AMNRL takes off. If they will sit through NFL then they're going to love our game. Hopefully it will explode and we'll have another viable pool of talent and an international team. Just think of a 5 nations tournament including America, and maybe even Canada, should they follow suit.
I think if RL cracks America we really would see our game given a bit more credibility.
I agree with what a previous poster said about getting Crowe's Hollywood buddies involved. Get a few friendly games over there pre season, like the Rabbitohs did with Leeds & Salford.

| "Hey guys, I've got this great idea. Why don't we bring Rugby League to the US? It's two halves of forty minutes, but we could cut that into four 20 minute quarters. They don't wear helmets or padding, but once we've explained the health and safety legislation over here, they'll go with the protection. They have offence and defence, they kick and tackle. They have cheerleaders and silly team names. Their refs wear silly pink and orange shirts, but we can get sponsorship to supply some nice black and white stripey ones. They've got a rule about the ball having to go backwards, but don't worry, I've seen Leeds and Saints, and they definitely throw it forward, so all we gotta do is get a little fast guy to run forward, throw it him so he can run to the other end. No need to touch it down, we'll award the points just by crossing the line.........oh wait............."

| I would love this to happen. I honestly feel that if this happened and it was a success - RL would seriously get alot more coverage and respect - it cracked America.
Lets just hope the buffoons running the IRL, RFL and NRL listen to Russell Crowe.

| If we could spread to a major market such as America which Union will likely never crack. Then it could serve to make those who in times gone by would have watched Union seeing League instead.
If instead of the league system Russell is proposing, we had a traditional play-off system of a top 8 which we use in SL and in NRL.
With our number 1 team and their number 1 team having the top 2 spaces and getting a second chance etc.
