| Glad he's been signed up, thought he did at good job at Hudds and it was harsh to release him. Be interesting to see where he plays for Cas.

| Hasn't he had some recent 'disciplinary' issues?

Indeed he has, should fit in very well as Cas while Matterson is in charge.
Its a shame they have these problems at Cas as there are some very very good junior players signed up to the club who will not reach their potential while the environment in which they are developing is frankly so very poor.
As for Aspi, never rated him as a player, but good luck to him.

| Martin was/is not big or skilful enough as a centre and not fast/powerful enough for a top winger.
Interestingly, Darrell Goulding reminded me quite a lot of him - up to last season. The transformation in him brought about by Madge as well as enjoying a consistent run in the team is phenomenal.

Quote GeoffAspinwall is the Tigers' sixth new signing so far, joining Richard Mathers (Warrington), Danny Orr (Harlequins), Nick Youngquest (Crusaders) and St Helens duo Nick Fozzard and Jacob Emmitt.'"
Anyone else underwhelmed by the quality of their recruitment?'"
Underwhelmed is an understatement - its been bloody awful.
In defence of Aspinwall though, I do think injuries have prevented him reaching his full potential - there were games where it seemed as if he could turn into a handy player.

Idiots FFS...like your post! Maybe this could be a reason for release?
Quote Cruncher A former Wigan Warriors rugby league star has been charged with assault after a man was left with a fractured cheekbone following a pub brawl.
Martin Aspinwall, 28, faces allegations he attacked a 19-year-old after a row at the town’s Walkabout bar in July.
The alleged victim is thought to be an employee of Mr Aspinwall’s former agent Andrew Clarke.
A police spokesman said: “This charge follows an incident that took place on the evening of July 17, 2010, in the King Street vicinity of Wigan that left the male victim with a fractured cheekbone.”

Any coach who uses threats of violence as a tactic is an idiot.
Players who, taking a lead from their coach, then use preplanned violence to gain the upper hand during the course of a game, are also idiots.
Fans who don't have a problem with that are the biggest idiots of all.
