The club have done it right there by putting proper clubs legends on, and not putting the likes of Brett Kenny and Trent Barrett on. For how good Kenny and Barrett were for one or two seasons, thats all it was, one or two seasons. The lads on the Walk of Fame have done it for 5, 6, 7, 8 seasons or more, and in Jim Sullivans case, 25 seasons!

Walked down it on Wednesday and pretty sure he is on it next to Ellery Hanley just out of frame. on the Wigan website there is a shot from the front of the shop that shows two more players beyond Ellery before they get to the Black and White section. |

This is about us and our pride in our HISTORY and who we consider to have been the key figures in that tradition. We have taken a lease in the Grand not Latics, we have put on a 'Walk of Fame' not Latics and the majority of Wiganers love the rugby club not Latics.
I don't think we should lower ourselves to a debate over sporting 'relevance' with Latics men. They use the 'national/world game' argument every time to hide the fact that they are a comedy football outfit of little relevance locally & nationally.
We don't need to hide behind any other argument than Wigan RL and the pride we feel in our own club.'"
