| Quote Father Ted="Father Ted"If they go into administration then they can't take part in Super League.
One of the RFL/SL rules is that if a club is, or has been in the past 12 months, in administration they will not be considered for Super League.
This is a hell of a mess for the RFL/SL.
They will be damned if they do and damned if they don't.'"
They are alreay in SL

Yes, but they won't get a franchise for 2012 (and will get points deducted for 2011). Cas & Wakey must be rubbing their hands.

| A shame really. Nice little away game on the doorstep for me.
I thought they made a bit of an impact in the Wrexham area and certainly saw plenty kids at the RU club with Crusaders gear when my son's team played them.
I don't think you can discount the current economic climate for being partly responsible for this. It's a tough time for all sports clubs that don't have rich benefactors, a large supporter base or some other steady income stream.

| Shame after all the hard work, they are going in the right direction now though, this is just a remnant of the previously poor running of the club IMO back when they were "Celtic Crusaders".

| Let's hope the Crusaders avoid admin, but this is just the latest example of the failure of the CC to achieve its objective, or rather the objective it had before the flat earth brigade hijacked it for their own misguided ends.
The pursuit by the level playing field nutters of their ridiculous and doomed dream seemingly at all costs threatens the long term survival of RL as a professional sport.

Definitely, Crusaders would have been fine if they could have spent a bit more cash on players.

exactly. They'd have been more competitive maybe but worse off money wise I don't know why the cap was even mentioned tbh. There's a few crusaders players I wouldn't mind though if they do go. But they won't someone will buy them move them to mid wales and the RFL will give them another license.

| Crusaders should have spent what they could afford.
That's nothing to do with the SC just financial sense.
Every club is now permitted to spend up to £1.65m under the present SC rules whether they can afford it or not.
Looks like Cru have done just that!
The SC should be abolished and clubs forced to make a profit over a given period (2-3 years) and if they don't, bye bye Super League!
