They ought not to be classed as "fans" of any sport then. I was one of Terry Newton's more outspoken detractors but once upon a time I thought he was like no other, and in the past few hours it has hit me what a waste of a life it is.

Graeme West's words on the Granada news report left a real lump in my throat. I know my dad, who was the priest found it a very moving occasion. He felt honoured to officiate and was genuinely impressed with the number of people who turned up to lend their support. It says a lot about the man, and about the people of the town.

That's just had me crying my eyes out

I had to work yesterday so couldn't get to the stadium or the church, but a few friends and my mum went and told me about it. I can't begin to imagine how his family must be feeling.
