I've got a sneeky feeling it could be taking the Wigan Saints derby to larger stadium such as the city of Manchester, following the lead of the London RU clubs in boosting their attendances.

I bloody hope not. Don't want to surrender home advantage on Good Friday.

Would be weird playing the Saints game at Goodison and the wigan game at COM

Have they said anything else about moving your game to Goodison?

Goodison is a shathole i hope they dont move it there. COM stadium is way too big and will make both clubs look very stupid.

Nothing official, but snippets suggest we'll be moving the match there.

That wouldn't surprise me, as Widnes wouldn't be big enough for a Saints v Wigan game.

Not if it's marketed well, Harlequins RU, Wasps et al have really shown the way - If they can get 60k plus into Wembley/Twickers then we can get 35/40k plus to the City of Manchester.

May look to break even at best after stadium hire and marketing efforts but it's the long term gain i'd be excited about with new fans, lapsed fans, merchandising, 17-19k average gates, exposure of the Wigan RL brand etc etc.

If you look at a certain emerging kit manufacturer, they are branching out into Rugby and have announced a deal to supply Northampton Saints for 6 years, including club sponsorship and Stand sponsor.

Could they also be considering the largest RL club in the world?
