| The news of Terry taking his own life is still something I can't quite believe. I didn't know him personally and never had the chance to meet him but to me and my wife he will always be forever in our memories for his efforts on the field in the cherry and white.
On the news breaking the shock was incredible but soon after we both ended up talking about a game at the DW (JJB back then) in which Terry ended up with the ball in his hands at around the half way line and clear field in front of him to the try line. Neither of us can remember the game or the opponents but we can both picture the look on his face as he ran towards the south stand. He looked left and right for support but was on his own as he ran towards the line with the chasing backs close on his heels, at that moment everyone in the stand seemed to be willing him towards the line, I even remember beckoning him towards me as he pinned his ears back and went for it. He was caught close to the line but his strength and, as I've thought about it, the will of the crowd got him over the line. He celebrated right in front of us, to the left of the posts and made it a memory that I will never forget.
Sport can be so inpersonal these days but players like Terry who wore their heart on their sleeve and gave their all for the club made us all feel that we, as fans, were in the game as well. What he felt, we felt too.
Apologies for the long post but I just had to share this.
Terry - Many thanks.
My deepest sympathys to his family and friends.

| Always harboured hopes he'd come back to us. When his contract was up at bradfut hoped we'd bring him home then but it never happened. Then when he got banned realised it would never happen, and remember feeling sad then.
Gutted with the news, the best Super League 9 we've had, and probably the best wigan 9 since Dermott. A real tragedy and so upsetting. Such a great player and a player who played with so much passion and involvement, which was one of the main reasons he was so loved by the fans. Feel so sorry for his kids. RIP TEZ.

| Well I am absolutely stunned. I was only talking about him today as me and my son queued for our Grand Final tickets this afternoon completely oblivious this had happened.
May he RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

| I always remember the try he scored against Castleford at Headingley (Challenge CUp semi 2002) and as Waine Pryce chased after him he knew he wouldn't catch him so he stuck his tongue out at him as he went in to score.
When he banjoed Paul Davidson against Halifax for picking on kids.

| I'm completely stunned he was a fantastic hooker who played with such passion that Wigan seemed to lose for quite a while after he left...such a tragic waste of a life but in such times I don't suppose he would have been thinking straight or about what the people left behind would go through....condolences to all who loved and knew him xx RI.P Tez
