It's come as a hell of a shock, ive gone numb to be honest!
Ive played with and against terry in our younger days and has always been a top class player.
His family have been thru hell over the last year or so and i can't imagine what there going thru
My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Like many Saints Fans after what I did to Longy I was guilty of forming an opinion of him as a person due to his on field actions. Then I met him whilst out in Wigan and couldn't have wished to meet a nicer man, as many people have said he was a true gent.
Hopefully people attending the game on Saturday will show their respect to him and both our teams will serve up a treat in his honour. R.I.P Terry Newton.

Utterly unbelievable - not heard them mention it on the championship programme as thought Carney was supposed to be a big mate of his, just don't know what to say. Desperately sorry for all his friends and family. He loved Wigan and was never quite the same after the new coach at the time shipped him out

Loads of people were in the Ben Johnson last night and said he was serving and seemed really happy. I can't help but wonder what's made him feel so desperate that there was no other way out. It's absolutely shocking, I honestly can't believe it. He was my favourite Wigan player all through my early teens, even when Millward got rid, I still wanted him to do well at Bradford. He was Wigan through and through and I'm gutted that he won't be able to see us play in the final on Saturday.
