I'm not defending him if this is true but I would like to point out that the Wigan players were having things thrown at them and the 'scum' comment, if true was, in all probability, aimed at those responsible. If that was the case I find it hard to disagree to be honest and is no different than what fans from both Wigan and HKR are saying about those responsible. You could argue that he is a professional sportsman and should rise above it and, whilst I'm inclined to agree if the provocation is banter, I don't think the same argument applies to when you're the target for missiles! I have to say that I, like most on here, really like the HKR fans as I've said previously and that hasn't changed because of these incidents. All fans have their share of idiots to deal with. However, if you're asking if I think people who throw things are 'scum' then I'm afraid the answer is a resounding "yes!"
