The date, time and venue for each game is only announced less than a week in advance. The Hull KR game was only arranged at 8:30 on Sunday night, and kicked off less than five days later. That doesn't give the club much time to sort out marketing and ticket sales, and it doesn't give the fans much time to make arrangements and free up time on Friday night.

It's the opposite of the Challenge Cup problem where everyone forgets about the competition in the three months between the quarter finals and the semis.

I have to admit I am on of the many season ticket holders that did ot go last night. I went to the leeds match, an extra £15 + travelling. Money is tight at the moment when you are on a sales commision basis and after loosing to Leeds I had to think long and hard to justify going last night when I already have the game payed for in my sky subscription. As to next week depending on where we are and timings I might have to give this a miss. If we get to the grand final I WANT to go so have to justify the extra £25-£30 for the extra play off games on top of the grand final tickets.I WOULD have LOVEd to go BUT could not afford the extra cost SADLY

Good article in this month's Rugby League World by John Drake about rugby league fans' obsession with crowds. Fair enough more people through the gate means more money for the club, but the reason behind the extended season (playoffs) is Sky and Sky pay the RFL/clubs handsomely for the privelage.

Good away support , even though it was a bit of a trek due to traffic problems.

while i agree the turnout from wigan was low,its not the supporters who do go to the stadium and make the effort who should be recieving criticism,its the ones who stay away,ive always thought wiganers in general be it football or rugby are in the main a fickle bunch,you have the hardcore who will go whatever,but its the ones who pick thier games or stay in the pub an watch games that get up my nose,you really cant complain at the cost of tickets for the play off games they are really good value.
warriors tickets are cheap even compared to latics,£14 last night compared to £25 for latics home game against city tommorow,i admire and respect any wiganer who gets behind either of the towns teams week in week out,however for a lot of people in this town the lure of the pub is too tempting for most of them

Think the Hull KR fans effort last night was brilliant, made plenty noise and really got behind the team. Pity a few more teams from the other side of the Pennines don't have the same committed fans.

Maybe the club should take a leaf out of the Pathetics' book, 3 games for £3, something like that. They're virtually giving them away...

The people who wasnt there last nite will be ist there in the que fof GF tickets if we get there, we should somehow reward those that attend these P/O games, like save 5 pound on your final ticket any thoughts ?

I would have loved to have been there last night. I had a family wedding to attend tho so my hands were pretty much tied. I manage to get across from Yorkshire most weeks tho when time n money allow.

Not a particularly fashionable side and a game nobody expected Wigan to be in in all honesty. The amount of people I have heard saying 'WHEN Wigan get through to next week' before the game had kicked off was disrespectful but I reckon some of those that said that will be those who sat at home.

The play offs are never well received, its just a "I'll wait till we get to OT or stuff it till next season" mentality due to costs etc and it'll never change.
