I think the lack of respect stems from the fact that numerous Wigan fans are wishing a long term injury on Danny McGuire.

It was a good game, it could have gone either way. In fact, that's exactly what every Leeds fan I've spoken to tonight has said. Any idiot that comes on the forums just to laugh at opposition fan doesn't deserve the time of day, but for most I think it's a reaction to what's been aimed very narrowly at McGuire. Have we forgotten the indiscretions of other players on the night? Both Tomkins brothers blameless?

You are a Wire fan aren't you? If so don't you find it a tad ironic going on about bad stuff creeping into our game from football when you have Briers who treats refs as bad as any spoilt Premier league footballer?

I saw far too much football stuff in that game on Sunday from Leeds in this regard as well. The way they were howling at the ref at the end was a disgrace. One of there players even grabbed his arm at one point.

As to wanting a player injured that is a silly stance for anyone to take but there isn't an RL fan anywhere on RLfans who had a player got injured when committing a professional foul against their team would at least not see the irony in that situation as well.
