It was lovely to see old footage of central park. The reaction from the crowds was interesting to watch. the usual shaking of a head or the muttering of "Jesus Christ" at some incident on the pitch.

Did keith macklin do some rugby videos in the 80's with Wigan or am I mistaken?

I really enjoyed that Eddie Waring documentary. I've heard the name, but being as young as I am (25) I only really knew that he was a) The fella that said "he's a poor lad" and b) that the commentator in Up n Under was based on him.

Thought it was amazing seeing how he influenced the game, and then how the fans fell out of love with him after his celebrity rose.

He always did polarise opinion, but I was always in the camp that thought he made a mockery of the game.

I'm sure Macklin also summarised one or two of Wigan's Season Review tapes back in the day.

Said same myself, Eddie and Stevo would never shut up if scrums were still like that!!
