I really enjoyed that Eddie Waring documentary. I've heard the name, but being as young as I am (25) I only really knew that he was a) The fella that said "he's a poor lad" and b) that the commentator in Up n Under was based on him.
Thought it was amazing seeing how he influenced the game, and then how the fans fell out of love with him after his celebrity rose.

He always did polarise opinion, but I was always in the camp that thought he made a mockery of the game. | | | |
