The score was KR 10 - 34 Wigan with 8 minutes to go. Mariano went into a tackle awkwardly and straight away the Wigan players rolled off and shouted for medical staff. 15 minutes later and Mariano was still on the pitch, the game was called. I don't think he broke his neck as he was thrashing his legs in agony, and you can't do that with a broken neck. He even tried applauding the fans on his way off.

All I can say about your U20's, you have some brilliant talent coming through. Your number 12 (Jonny Walker?) was outstanding, and 9 (Logan Tomkins) certainly lived up to the bar his brothers have set. It was a great game, end to end stuff, and a brilliant referee that let the game flow. Shame it had to end on such a sour note.

Hope the lads OK never nice to hear of anyone being badly hurt
