Josh Charnley played very good yesterday a Salford he scored a try and took Salford on at speed and his defence excellent.
Why was Marsh or Pryce picked instead of Charnley i dont no seeing Charnley has played 5 Super League games and has scored in 3 of the games ????

Pryce has made 19 starts this season for the first and U20s teams - do you want to try to think up another excuse?

Pryce seems to come in for a lot of stick for not making enough metres taking the ball in. There's definitely evidence of this from the Huddersfield game and overall compared to our other backs.
He may also be lacking pace, but he's nowhere near as terrible as some people make out.
His work rate doesn't quite match our other backs consistently but it is improving. I think he's better suited to be a centre, but it would require a lot of work on Pryce's part to prove he can make a name for himself there.

Playing 19 consecutive starts for the first team would most certainly give a truer measure of his ability, performance and worth.

Playing one week for the U20s then another for the first team followed by not playing for either is hardly the way to get the best out of any player whether its Pryce or anyone else.

True, but why should any player be given so long to prove himself, when others are doing it in far less games? Would you apply the same argument to, say, Ainscough?

I think we already have "a true measure of his ability, performance and worth".

What are you seriously expecting to see that hasn't been seen already? 19 starts over a season is plenty enough to be up to speed with the game and match fit. He's made 9 starts in the first team out of those 19. Plenty to see what he offers.

He could play in every single first team game, but that won't sort out his major shortcoming for me, which is a lack of heart.
