I'm not so sure, you know. I think a fair few would echo Deano G's sentiments. I know he backed Leeds, but from what I was saying, it's 'only just' Leeds. I think my view on it would be similar, backing Leeds over Wigan.

After the game our fans had various things thrown at their cars as they left Warrington down the A49 and Wire fans were stood outside nearby pubs in quite large numbers hurling pure abuse at any Wigan fan who passed by. I well remember a lot of our fans promising to never visit the HJ again as a result after their children had been totally frightened by the antics of Wire supporters and reduced to tears. Unfortunately I live in Warrington and was totally ashamed of the fact more than ever on that day. It left a nasty taste in a lot of Wigan fan's mouths and will take some time to go away I'm afraid. I love banter as much as anyone but that was not the word for what happened that day.'"

I remember that day very well and that was the point I despised all things Wire.
