Don't know if anyone else agrees but i think the Super League really need to get rid of this format. It is far too easy for teams to get into the playoffs. For a team to finish 8th they would be finishing in the bottom half of the table and still they are being rewarded for being poor.
In fact the playoffs in my opinion have ruined the Super League, for the simple fact the team that finishes first in the Super League should be the team that wins the Super League. It really annoys me that a team that finishes 8th could actually go on to become champions. If the game really was to improve in my opinion they could reward the top 8 teams by opening up a new competition in a playoff format so that an alternative trophy comes available to teams, this way it keeps the super league just as competitive for the top 8 positions and the race for 1st position would be a lot more exciting and more competitive as no team will settle for 2nd if they lose a bit of ground.
