Knew darby personally,although not a close mate of his,known him since I've been about 9 or 10,can honestly say one of the soundest blokes you could wish to meet,I know people say good things of people when they pass away,but its true of darby,a rum bugger in his time and a good bloke

Wigan Warriors lost two supporters from the same batallion last week.

It says in today's observer that 23 year old Paul Warren from Leyland was also a lifelong Wigan RL fan.

Sad times.

I hope everyone else is as proud of any of our soldiers who have passed away as I am.

Would it be possible for the club to hold a minutes applause/silence for these two brave gentlemen at the next home game?

The bravery of these men is unreal, I don't think they could ever get enough recognition.

That'd be a nice touch, only fitting after the bravery they've shown.

What we need to understand is that these guys died to protect the freedoms that we enjoy. We fight the Taliban in Afgahnistan or we suffer the effects in London/Manchester/Leeds. Nothing but admiration and respect for our armed forces.
