39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

But surely in a better position than we have been in for the last 3 years we would have a great chance from anywhere in the top 4.

| Finishing second may have a bonus.
There is no real difference in finishing 1st or 2nd, but you don't give your opposition a possible inspiration by picking them, I don't think there's going to be an easy pick this year.

True.
Tbh no game is a walk in the park anyone can beat anyone proved when Quins beat you and Crusaders beat Leeds.

Whatever the scenario is though, i would much rather play Leeds at the DW than yourselves. Whether we picked you or not, a derby playoff match doesn't need any more inspiration.

There's always a danger of that with the strange concept of Clubcall but I would far rather play the best of the rest at home than play the only other three teams who IMO are capable of winning at Old Trafford. (Saints, Leeds and Wire).
I'm certain Leeds will still get above Hull into the top 4 despite yesterdays result.

| Quote: Paul Youane "If you finish top you can choose to play the team who finished second at home in the semi-finals. I would say that playing at home is a pretty good advantage.'"
If the team that finished 2nd wins their 1st game you cannot pick them. It is only the winners of Week 2 that you can pick.
Last year Leeds could not pick Saints who had won in Week 1
