Sorry mate, as you know I've been watching Leigh for nearly 20 years and I've
never heard that song being sung - I've only ever heard "I'd rather be a pasty than a pie" as was sung tonight. I was stood with a group of crust munchers (a couple of whom post on here) and they took it in the manner that it was intended.
I've only missed one England game in this hemisphere in the past 5 years and, despite the club-centric chants from any number of clubs, tonight's crowd was actually more supportive of the England side than I've heard in a long, long time.
