| When I was watching Ryan McGoldrick kick Sam Tomkins in the face then getting shouted at for the rest of the game it got me thinking, who would make rugby league's most hated team? There are a couple of weak entries but here's my attempt and reasons:
1. Ryan McGoldrick - Always kicking off with someone after the tackle, kicking out when being tackled and yet never showing any real talent or actually getting into a fight. Even Castleford fans don't like him.
2. Leon Pryce - Off the field he got community service for bottling someone, then again escaped prison after a forced entry/assault incident at Stuart Reardon's wife's house. On the field he got banned for squeezing Sam Burgess' balls and injured Brian Carney with a horrible tackle in the '03 final. Possibly the most hated player going right now.
3. Lee Smith - Stamped on Bailey's head and celebrated on a wall in front of us after he knocked us out of the cup.
4. Keith Senior - Remembered for flooring Barrie Jon-Mather, cheating on his girlfriend in Australia, selling his World Cup medals and generally being a dirty player, gets into a lot of fights too.
5. Ben Cockayne - On a night out he battered a man who was already on the floor, and it's all over the internet.
6. Lee Briers - Very cocky scouser who Warrington fans hail like a God yet he was never good enough to get a game for GB. Biggest moaner in the game and rumoured dodgy off field antics too.
7. Sean Long - A very cocky player, apparently left Wigan under murky circumstances to join our arch rivals, got banned for betting against his own side and walked out on his country mid-tour. Very dodgy off field antics too.
8. Ryan Bailey - Got sent to a young offenders institute for battering someone in Leeds town centre, played with a tag, and always looking for a fight.
9. Keiron Cunningham - He's fat, walked out on his country, failed a drugs test but didn't get banned and took a big cheque to stay in league. Very cocky too.
10. Nick Fozzard - Always leads with the forearm and never gets called on it. Ugly bugger as well!
11. Terry Newton - Fouled and injured three saints players in one game and stayed on the pitch, which pretty much screwed their chances of winning the final that year. Currently banned for taking performance enhancing drugs. He gets into lots of fights too.
12. Keith Mason - I think he's been involved in a fight pretty much every time I've seen him play. How likely he is to fight you depends precisely upon how small you are and whether you're expecting it at the time. Dirty, dirty bugger.
13. Paul Cooke - His transfer saga from one side of Hull to the other really didn't make him any friends amongst F.C fans, he then played pretty badly for Rovers and ended up getting sent out to Wakefield so I doubt even their fans like him. Off the field he's got assault and drink driving convictions, he looks like a tramp too.
Who would make your team?

| Can't believe Jason Demetriou hasn't had a shout. Seems a nice guy off the field but a right niggler on it. Also, if you widen the debate beyond Superleague, the March brothers take it by a mile IMO.

| James Graham. I used to rate him highly, and I suppose, he is one of the leading forwards in the game. But watching his pathetic antics' after their game against Leeds last summer brought him down in my estimations. Big time. Yes, it was a tough match, with plenty of biff! But to act in that way when you're a former Man of Steel and I supposed ultra Professional is rather ridiculous.
If he ever does go to the NRL, god help him. He won't shake a hand all year!

| I'm surprised no one (opposition fans, at least) has mentioned Skerret.
leon pryce is probably the most consistently dirty player I've seen.
