Quote: PMC Chorley Warrior "Regarding Sam Powell, I think he maybe better suited to playing as a hooker rather than as a scrum half. However the performances and development of Liam Carberry would suggest Sam would be behind him in the pecking order as a number 9.
I've been very impressed with Matt Russell's performances. He is a solid defender and has unbelievable footwork. In games this year he has made beating the opposition defenders look very easy at times.
Did anyone attend the last U18's game against Huddersfield? Rory Kettlewell was very impressive on debut. Don't know much about him and wondered if anyone could shed any light on where he's played before.'"
Kettlewell is from Harrogate, and was awarded a scholarship at Sedbergh (same school that Will Carling went to) I think he was (or is) in of the top RU clubs academy's.
Although he played centre for the U18's I'm told he is normally a scrum half. His passing in that Huddersfield game was superb.
