| Well... by history now as it's been wiped when Mebourne were stripped of titles, Bellamy isn't a successful coach anymore.

God help us all if this bloke ever wins anything, he's already some sort of coaching god half way through a trophy-less season!
He's had an excellent start, as did Nathan Brown. He may go back home after 2 years looking for an NRL job without a trophy to his name, like Nathan Brown will.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Different kettle of fish.
That is unfair on Brown, Hudds are hardly a top club with amazing resources, he has done a terrific job but good luck winning something with Hudds after a couple of years.
Maguire has turned this team upside down. He has done an amazing job so far, you can't deny it. He is exactly the sort of coach everyone wants. He will win something

I didn't say they had amazing resources, just that as a coach he got off to a good start but with a stronger squad this year they look a weaker proposition.
A new coach coming in can have a dramatic impact on performance - look at the turnaround in results with Noble at the end of his first year - that sort of form would probably have seen you at the top of the table but he's no uber-coach.

He has done a very good job so far, absolutely no question. Will he win anything in his time at Wigan? Who knows. He may not even reach a final.
I just find the gushing praise lavished on him before we're remotely near the business end pretty funny. Suddenly he's the best coach in SL and better than coaches who have nilled Oz in tri-nations finals and won back to back SLs, or led teams to finals/trophies in their first seasons.
In reality, he's achieved zip yet over here and his achievement in Oz are questionable to say the least. In a month Wigan could be out of the cup and off the top of SL, I think it might be wise to delay the "King of Coaching" coronations until the pots are handed out.

I'm not going to analyse if he is better than other coaches but Potter and McClennan walked into title winning teams. Maguire has not and yet we are title contenders.

And if he does, every other club will be off to get their own version.
The transformation he has made to everyone at the club, see K Pryce & Amos Roberts as 2 examples is amazing.
