On a personal note I'm really not bothered when they play games. But I know Sky have rights to make changes before I buy my season ticket. Every fan knows that. It's no secret, they've been doing it to us since they started showing league games in 1991. Granada TV did it before them. That's one of the main reasons why we switched to Friday Night's way back in 2001. It used to be a lot worse than now.
The game would have gone ahead on the Friday in a non world cup year but no club really wants to clash with an England World Cup game. I think if it wasn't for the 99% certainty of it being shown by Sky the fixture would have been moved long ago. Leeds & Salford have already switched to Sunday that weekend for example.
. Everbody knows at the beginning of the season fixtures are subject to change and especially the big games. A very large percentage of people would probably rather watch the England game and our game so TV broadcasters let what the majority of people would watch dictate the schedule. Just calm down and think of way of letting her down gently
