He's simply brilliant. He kicks goals, gains metres with penalty kicks, always kicks over the half way line from a drop out, high towering bombs from kick offs, makes plenty of metres forward when running the ball back, has plenty of pace, the best winger in the air in Super League, can play at fullback, safe as houses under the high ball, got great positioning sense and can't half finish a try!

I'm not sure they would. On the wire board someone nicked the "if you could have anyone out of sl" thread of here, and a lot of them said Pat. |

| Its only a couple of years ago that Saints fans laughed on this board when someone said Pat was world class. Apparently Wellens et al were better backs. They're not laughing now...!
No-one in SL is laughing now - other than Wigan fans, delighted to have "The Postman" in our side. He is the best winger in SL (is there a better back?).
What a player he is. Pat is a bona fide, all-time Wigan legend who would have graced any of the great Wigan sides, in any era, I am sure.

He'll definitely be up there by the end of his time, if not now already. Truly one of Wigan's best buys, and in my opinion our most valuable asset, although some may disagree. Best winger in the league by far.

| pat could see out his career at wigan if he wanted, with such a young squad he could be part of a contending team for the next 5 or 6 years and would become a true club legend. hes got to be in with a shout at man of steel !!! |

| Pat Richard deserves all the plaudits he gets.. I can't remember him having a bad game (apart from his first season). He isn't the quickest winger but makes up for it in his size and ability under the high ball.
I know phelps wasn't at his best today but surely we have the best back three at Wigan since Radlinski, Offiah and Robinson in Phelps, Roberts and Richards.
