Yeah Friday night everytime.
Only matches with Saints in the afternoon can generate atmosphere.

Friday night matches every time.
Better atmosphere, chat and a drink afterwards then home with the whole weekend ahead.

I also perfere night games. but monday was good. if the weather is nice it is great to get out on an afternoon doing something that you enjoy

I've always preferred the 'enclosed' atmosphere you get with night games.

But.. Friday night matches aren't practical for taking a youngster to. Our son is now eight and we've struggled taking him to the few games in a season that he'd stay awake for. He sees more away games than home games.

Consequently it's a constant battle to keep him turned away from soccer - peer pressure at school.

My worry is that there could be a fall off in support if the game isn't readily accessible to kids at an early age. A few more afternoon, or better still, early evening weekend kick offs would certainly get my vote.

I prefer Sunday afternoons, less of a hassle to get home as people let you in/out of ques unlike Friday nights were every inch matters when in traffic, plus its less tense and less idiots.

Definately night matches. There's more of a buzz and atmosphere.

Indeed. Friday night match atmosphere win hands down every time.

Prefer Friday nights, 3pms are ok at away matches but the DW atmosphere is dead at the best of times, on a sunday with the sun shining down i think people are just to relaxed to bother.

Night matches always seem to have the better atmosphere at the DW IMO

Definitely night matches. After the games yesterday I was knackered after being used to getting home usually from the match at around 11pm and going straight to bed
