Have to agree. IL has dismantled a management structure that, in some elements, wasn't working and in the time he's been at Wigan virtually built a club from the ground up.

The football operations side and the admin side have a professionalism that is now translating off the pitch with their marketing and community strategies and on the pitch through the performance of the team.

Another thing that I like about IL is that he isn't afraid to give the plain facts that people may not want to hear straight away, but when you think about his points you know he has the club's best interests at the forefront of his thinking.

Well done to IL and involved at the club.

He is an anti Irish/Catholic bigot. It must kill him that the club is run by a Catholic St Pats mon and coached by someone with obvious Irish descent.

Tbf I don't think I have an agenda against IL, I did start this topic btw, but I agree with BK in that there was an element of risk involved in giving MM the job.

No amount of due diligence can cover for everything. A good number 2 won't always make a good manager. Of course IL looked into every area of Madge, his history, personality, his thoughts on the game and roles of the players but there was still some risk regarding his ability to adapt to the top role. How will madge perform when, and we will, start to slide a little?

No agenda I can just see there was some risk involved.
