It's all a bid to get more fans the Magic Weekend and I applaud the RFL. When you consider there's the Crusaders and Catalan that weren't here a few years ago the expenses of RL fans has rocketed so things must get a tad cheaper to get bums on seats at all major events and long distance matches.

The Rhinos do similar offers such as Silver & Gold memberships allow you free entry to the Challenge Cup 4th round and Juniors free until the Qtr Finals. On top of this they also offer 50% off magic weekend tickets.

Good stuff IMO.

As for the question about who the promotion is aimed at i think it is aimed at current fans with the hope new fans will attend with them because of the price.Lets be honest about this, our sport isn't big enough to suddenly get thousands of people suddenly saying " i know ill go watch a rugby league game " there is the exception to the rule but ordinarily this doesn't happen. Our game is watched by loyal fans that have been introduced to it through family tradition or because schools play it or friends watch it. By promoting the sport to current fans who attend games at a cheap price the hope is that we will bring new people to the games in the hope they fall in love with the sport and become lifetime supporters of it.

I bet you'd be dead chuffed if your Saints Season Ticket went up by £100 just so it could be "Perceived" that a Saints ticket would make your club seem more Exclusive and in turn attract more speccies & More sponsors?

Can't find anything on the RFL site. Shame cos after telling a few people there are at least five of us who'd buy that package right now.
