if you've seen Stanley rangers ground that too has a slope from end to end with a slight one from side to side fantastic drainage with the pitch keeping it prim and proper all season

Challenge Cup, Nick Du Toit kicked a goal from way way out and he kicked the ball that hard it was still rising as it sailed over the posts and over the stand and out the ground.
Local legend has it that the ball landed in the Isle Of Man some two hours later. 
Great crowd that day, massive Wigan section. Good drive through the lakes to get there. A nice warm sunny day IIRC.

Match was switched from Derwent Park to Borough Park, Workington AFC.

i agree about the dogs. They shouldnt be allowed out the owners proprty imo, the dirty filthy things.
dogs on pitch is nothing compared to when lad played at Waterhead a few years ago. There were COWS on the field and they had to shoo em of and shift the cow pats | | | |
