I've booked a national express coach back from Leeds to Manchester. Leaves 22.30 arrives Manchester 23.55 only £2 per person. Then a nightbus back into Wigan via Leigh. That's unless someone has 2 spaces free on a minibus calling at Stalybridge, Marsden & Dewsbury on the way there.

Best bet there is to get a taxi straight to Salford Crescent from Piccadilly

That's OK I guess, not caught it for a while but the last train to Wigan can get very busy, wouldn't be surprised if there was no room left by then!
I'd imagine there will be quite a few people using the trains to get to Leeds too going back that way.
Also the trams are now running again so you can get between piccadilly and victoria using them and it shouldn't take more than the time needed.
