| If Myler plays, we stand no chance whatsoever.
Totally undercooked, lacking form and fitness.

| Considering that Myler could not possibly have been picked on form, the only reason I can see to have selected him was to give him a practice game before his inclusion in the 4 nations.
I think it's clear that TS intended for Myler to be starting 7 in the 4 nations, I just hope that after last nights display he rethinks this.

| I'm finding the Myler bandwagon quite baffling.
Nobody seems to be pointing out the obvious, namely that he's unfit, badly off form and hasn't performed well for half a season - and yet in two weeks he could be up against the most awesome RL team on Earth. Quite clearly, if he played for anyone other than Wire he wouldn't even be in the squad. Yet Sam Tomkins, who scored multiple tries and made several others, is a worrying option because of his 'lack of structure'.
By the law of averages, one of these GB coaches must make a correct decision at some point with regards to selection and preparation. They surely can't keep on getting it wrong forever.

| McGuire and Tomkins for me. Looks like O'Loughlin is going to play centre so it will be Sinfield at 13 to help with the organising/kicking side of things.
TS is going to pick one out of Sam and Myler IMO and for me bias aside its got to be Tomkins. Myler has all the potential to be a cracking scrum half but his defence needs work IMO. I dont think he is anywhere near ready in other areas of his game as well.

Some of us have been saying that since the rumours/dip in form started. Looks like a case of a player believing his own hype (or that of his agent).

"Despite Tomkins' hat-trick of tries and man of the match award, Smith was keen to share the praise around.
"His broken field play was very good, but I thought both half-backs (Tomkins and Richie Myler) did well," stated Smith. "

To be fair to Smith, he wouldn't be much of a coach if he came out and said X, Y or Z was shiite.

Why would we make excuses?
Young player of the year.
Made the "dream team" in his first full season.
Scored a hat trick and created three tries in a man of the match performance on his International debut.
What more do you want of him?

Agreed, i'm just concerned he actually did think myler had a good game. You don't need to come out and say a player was poor, but likewise you don't need to say he did well either.
Just doesn't seem quite right to me that's all.
He was asked a question by a reporter about Sam's performance, he felt he needed to say that both halfbacks did well (so Myler gets some praise)
He then volunteered that Sam Burgess was really good, but did not mention anybody else in the forwards at all.
