I think he's played in too many tests for Smith to disclude him now, we all know some of the same guys will always be back unless they hit diabolical form or turn 30, even then it's touch and go.

One of the most telling things about Leon Pryce is the way Union's interest has cooled. Two years ago he was going to be the next big defector. Now there's mention of it at all.

Pryce looks like he's heading the same way as Fielden. Played a lot of 1st team/international rugby early in his career and it's beginning to show in his legs. He'll do a job at SL level for the next couple of years but his match winning days are largely behind him.

Only in one game as I recall for England, at Bradford Pryce was used mainly at centre, Noble did not think he was a stand off.

Pryce was very quiet on sat only time he was shown on tv was at end when it sink in that they had lost.

He had a few drives at the line but was always, always tackled after making a small amount of metres. He might as well have not been on the pitch.

I've always thought that Pryce could be a very good loose forward. A Saints back three of Wilkin, Flannery and Pryce would be well balanced.
A runner (Pryce) a footballer (Wilkin) and a tackler (Flannery) has always been my ideal for the back row.

He's been left out of the England squad.
