That's a similar point to what I've been thinking in regards to knowing oppositions weaknesses and strengths, after all McGuire can be excused for not knowing about players of other superleague teams.
Wane on the other hand while he has coached over here it's never been at a higher level than reserves so what will his knowledge be like of opposing teams and players? For me are new coaching teams only weakness to begin with could be there lack of background knowledge of opposing teams and players.
Now whether watching hours and hours of tapes could solve this by allowing them to see the other teams I don't know but I imagine it probably would. Another possibly easier way and following on from the Melbourne style of multiple assistant coaches could be to recruit another assistant coach someone who has previous coaching experience here at more than just reserve level and therefore is well versed in other teams strengths and weaknesses.
