Really happy with the news, think it'll work well... And in 3 years see wane take control with the experience he will gain. Roll on 2010.

IMO Nobby (and others, Wane etc) has created a great foundation of a team for MM to really take on and develop a great team.
Good appointment from IL and looking at the official statement it seems that he has been making sure all the paperwork regarding RFL approval and visa's has already been done so there's going to be no last minute hitches.
Obviously this contributed to the delay in making anything official.
He looks like a great candidate to take on and develop some of the younger players and hopefully give our more established players a boost and a new perspective to improve their games.

It shows why we have gone for him.
He's got a good grounding for a coach having knowledge in not only the latest coaching techniques but a fitness and teaching back ground as well.
We've certainly got the talent at Wigan as well as all the facilities a coach like Maguire could ever need to be successful.
Lets hope it's the start of some new good times at Wigan! |

His age is something that intrigues me.
Both Nathan Brown and Justin Morgan are reletively young, Australian coaches and have both done well in Super League.
Whether or not he's a proven first team coach, he's been involved and knows what it takes to become a championship winning side in the worlds best league. This, along with the praise he's received Down Under suggests this is a good move by Ian Lenegan.
Time will tell.

What is wrong with all you doubters...........judge him on results and style of play WHEN we start playing......we got behind nobby and sadly he just couldnt give us the final edge we needed.....he has now gone so lets get behind Lenegan and support who we have now
