OOOPS!
I remember coming out of central park with my dad in about 1982 when we'd just beaten Hull KR. I was 12 years old and had never really seen a proper large scale fight before. I shat myself cuz there must have been about 60 - 70 blokes brawling in the street near Wigan Littel Theatre and my Dad had to drag 2 blokes off his car. They were battling like mad! Can't remember the match very much though!
I do remeber the challenge cup match in about 1986 when we only just beat them on their old ground. I'd never been as cold in my life!

| This came to me this morning I don't know why....
Does anyone remember the announcer playing the Monkees 'Cheer up sleepy Jean' during a break in play and everyone to a man joined in with Cheer up Ian Millward......needless to say it was never heard again.

Championship Play Off 1959/1960 season.
Wigan stand off Dave Bolton was injured and Wigan announced that they would play Mick Sullivan at 6 in his place.
All Saints fans complained it was a tactic to get Alex Murphy sent off and Wigan get a win. Sullivan was then as good an "enforcer" as you'll ever get never mind his being a wingman. A 1950s/60s Dean Bell!
Game hadn't been going long and the biggest fist fight between two players you'll ever see took place. Between, of course, Murphy and Sullivan. Referee Eric Clay sent both off!
Result St Helens 9 Wigan 19.
Never to be forgotten!!!!!!!'"
Billy B scored two that night. It was played on a Saturday night to avoid clashing with the FA Cup final in the afternoon.

I think you've got your games mixed up there mate, 65-12 was in '97.
We played at KR in a midweek cup replay in Feb '95 which was the night of the Rep of Ire v Eng international. I know we won the game but what score was it?
